This hotel was very generous! They provide complimentary snacks and water in the rooms.
They have hot fresh coffee and ice cold lemon water available in the lobby all day. The complimentary breakfast was terrific! They have bagels, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, omelettes served with potatoes and so much more. The staff is amazing and I would recommend this hotel for anyone who appreciates these services and the convenience of being located next to grocery stores and fast food restaurants right next door. It is also located 15 minutes from Lego land and Carlsbad beach.

Wonderful place to stay!! My friends and I came from out of town to attend an event in the area and the hotel staff were so amazing with early check in! Our rooms were clean, the free breakfast selection was incredible, and they even had complimentary snacks when we entered our room! They had so many amenities that I wasn't expecting, and every staff member interaction I had was awesome. Located near a lot of shops and food places as well, that's always a plus! If I ever end up in the area I will make a sincere effort to book here again!

This is an older but updated hotel. The room and bathroom were super clean, king bed was comfortable, couch in the room was comfortable to sit on, and the hotel staff were the friendliest we've seen at any hotel in a while. They bent over backwards to help in any way they could. The room had a microwave and refrigerator was hands down the best we've seen in any hotel room, with legit separate freezer. Our food and drinks stayed super cold. There was also a separate coffee station with complimentary snack basket. We loved that there's an ice machine on every floor so you're not running to some out of the way place like we had to in a much newer and more expensive Hyatt! The breakfast area is in what used to be guest rooms, so was a little strange. But with that said, the food was good, hot, and there was a really nice selection. There was a lot of fresh, cut fruit, not frozen and thawed. For such a small area, we were impressed with the selection and quality of the food. And on Sunday, there was just one lady servicing breakfast and running like crazy to meet the demand. And yet she stopped to help and provide extra requests when she didn't really have to. There is a Target directly across the street, along with Panera, Starbucks, Chick Fil A, In n Out, and more within walking distance. We felt safe and would highly recommend this hotel! We would stay again.

Smell of jasmine as you pull up. Relaxing music at the front desk. Friendly, helpful staff. Raj behind the front desk was great! Free Wi-Fi, parking, water, ice and snacks in the room and a great breakfast included! Each room has a balcony and it was a comfortable bed! Definitely staying here again if I come back in for work!

Very comfortable room with great bed and linens. The landscaping is filled with flowers and plants-not what you typically see at this price point. Common rooms aren’t super fancy but they are very clean and well maintained. Very good breakfast.

Nice place to stay for an older hotel. Was clean and the staff was friendly. There was alot of traffic due to a Canes and In and Out burger next to the place. Close to highway, a shopping center with a Target and a has station. Breakfast every morning was nice with a good variety.

We were gifted with free snacks, water and complimentary full breakfast (compliments to Sara). The location was perfect close to freeways, shopping centers and restaurants. Our room was over the roof covering the entrance so there was a horrible view of the roof. Room 227 The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. The pool and hot tub need re-surfaced, they are in bad condition. My granddaughter wanted to swim but it was too messed up… Would I stay again? Yes but a different room.. and hopefully the pool would be redone..

I was very happy with my accommodations. I had to call the front desk for several service on the TV and the technician arrived in a few minutes. Their pet friendly rooms were perfect. No carpeting and pet resistant flooring. Another plus is there are numerous food options within walking distance. Plus they serve a hot breakfast every morning. I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it.

This is a good place to stay! My kids had a great time in the spa swimming around, we could not use the pool because it was way too cold!(only reason for the 4 stars) My kids were a little bummed about that. The beds are comfy and breakfast had some good options. Staff were all very friendly!! This hotel could use some proper upgrades not quick fixes and a deep clean as there was some dirty corners around the room. Overall it was great and convenient for our purposes and food was walking distance!!!

I didn’t get a chance to utilize the pool or outdoor spa because of the cold rainy weather here in North County. But it’s very inviting maybe next time. I bounce between the Bay Area and North County right now building my business in mediation. I’ve been in North County more so in the last few months, the Comfort Inn is my go to place. I was very unhappy with Springhill also and Escondido. The staff works hard here and it shows.

Great place to stay with family. The service for check in was good. The front had coffee and water to grab and go for guest at all times. The room was clean and have water and snacks. There was a balcony with chairs and small table. My son loved the coloring pages and colored pencils at breakfast. The breakfast was amazing with hot& cold food items. The waffles station had fruit and whipped cream. The location was perfect! It was close enough to quick service food and dine in places for lunch and dinner options. Also Target and multiple stores are across the street if an item was left at home. Our trip was to the San Diego Zoo Safari and it was only 15min drive. Would recommend to families and anyone who needs a nice rest and delicious breakfast in the morning.

Our stay at this Hotel was excellent! Customer service was amazing. We checked in easily and checked out fast as well. The room was clean and we even had quite a few snacks waiting for us in our room along with water, tea and coffee. The location was also really great because surrounding us was In N' Out, Cane's, CVS, Target, 7-Eleven and sp many other stores all around us. Also, a McDonald's not far away. The room also came with bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body cream. We are most definitely coming back to this hotel if we are around San Diego or any other place.

I stayed at Marriott in Escondido called Springhill. That was not a good experience. It was full of children running in the lobby and screaming, the place was like a romper room. I am extremely quiet and I like quiet. I’m re-launching my book and going to move towards getting the rest of my manuscripts published. I have editing and writing to complete. The comfort Inn provided a nice desk, good room lighting. The balcony was awesome. The place is quiet. The pool was wonderful. I was in the pool with one other adult. No screaming children. The staff are friendly. Housekeeping was on target. Thank you for my enjoyable stay.

I work in the San Diego area from time to time I find this location to be perfect right off the freeway and plenty of food restaurants nearby. The rooms at this hotel are clean and they always leave snacks in the room with bottled water for all guests which is unheard of and most hotels. The staff is awesome as well I would recommend this place if you're heading to San Diego or in the area

We LOVED staying here! I called directly to book a room. I asked if we could check in early & they said no problem. Check in was really easy & the person who checked us in was very friendly. We were delighted to find complementary water & snacks in our room. The room was very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful! The fresh fruit surprised me — watermelon, pineapple, honey dew melon, so delicious! We were fortunate enough to get a late check out as well. The location is great! It’s right off the freeway & surrounded by so many restaurants & shopping possibilities!! We will definitely be back!

We had a great experience staying here for 2 nights. Complimentary waters and snacks. Good service! Rooms are maybe a little run down (4 stars for that). We didn’t utilize any of the other amenities during our quick stay so that’s all I really have to say. This hotel is in a really nice place and close to many many stores, places to eat, gas stations etc. Very close to the I-15 entrances as well. We’ll probably stay here again when we come back into town.

Wonderful experience at this hotel! The rooms are super clean and well-decorated. The hallways don’t smell like cigarettes and alcohol, as many hotels in this category often do. I loved the location because everything you need is within a short walking distance—restaurants, grocery stores, a gym, clothing stores, etc. Highly recommended!

We stayed 2/16/25, then added 5 more nights. Best Comfort Inn we have stayed. Perfectly firm king bed w/o feeling foundation split. Excellent water pressure (for CA). Selection of snacks in room. Entire room in excellent material condition. Breakfast is best of ANY Comfort Inn we have visited (over a dz). 6 flavors of ‘make your own’ waffles. 3 chafing pans with cheese omelettes & more. And a ready-to-eat fresh 🍉 🍇 🍈 🍍 bowl tower.

My family and I were thoroughly impressed with our one-night stay. The check-in process was quick and effortless, thanks to the friendly and professional front desk staff. Our room was cozy, with comfortable beds and pillows, and the bathroom was immaculately clean with fresh, white towels. The breakfast buffet, which started at 5:30 am, offered a diverse selection of options. We would definitely return.

I stayed for three nights in a spacious and comfortable room. I was traveling solo but appreciated the balcony and the king sized bed, which came with a choice of soft or firm pillows (I'm one of those who hugs a soft pillow while using a firm pillow for my head).
My absolute favorite part was the complimentary breakfast. There was a good variety of choices, from cereals to fruits to waffles to bagels to pastries to scrambled eggs, potatoes, and my personal favorite, biscuits and gravy.
So what kept me from a five-star review? The hotel is very clean, but the stairway is a bit worn, along with the upholstery on the chairs in the breakfast room. But otherwise, I would stay here again if I found myself in Escondido.
By the way, I was visiting relatives for a wedding, so I had more than enough food. But this hotel is right next to an In-N-Out, a Raising Cain's and a Chipotle.

We were there for the SoCal youth soccer state cup tournament so there were tons of kids there. The experience was great. The kids got to play. There were complimentary snacks and water in the room. The included breakfast had everything from fruit and yogurt, cereal, biscuits and gravy, omelets, sausage and bacon, potatoes, juices, bagels, coffee and waffles!!! Just what little champions need to fuel up before a day full of soccer games.

Rooms were decent, clean (carpet not so much ;-( oh well), quiet, bedding was clean, pillows were perfect (you had a choice of soft or firmer) when we checked into the room, it was well stocked, coffee, tea, even bottled water & snacks, etc. There was a good microwave and I liked that the refrigerator had separate compartments (seems like with combined single units refers that you can never regulate one from the other and things freeze that shouldn't) The 'Staff' was excellent, from reception, breakfast room (breakfast had many choices, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit, waffles, nice variety of bakery goods, yogurts, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The omelet would be better if they did not use processed cheese and had fresh salsa available ;-( and there were no hashbrowns or potatoes (but that's not the end of the world, lol) The maintenance was receptive and prompt (even though we didn't need it, they did helped us with questions on how to operate AC/heater) and right up to our check out. Didn't get a chance to use the pool or exercise room, but it was clean and had a variety of good equipment. We would stay again and we will look for a Comfort Inn again under the ChoiceHotels Brand! Thanks again for a great stay!

Stayed here for 4 nights with family visiting San Diego and Escondido. The motel is old but well maintained and the staff are very friendly. Location is great with access to freeways and downtown Escondido. One bonus is the fact that its right next door to an In and Out burger.
The breakfast is good. Overall, good value for the money
