GoogleWe have now done 4 quilts with Just T-Shirt Quilts, and love them all! Each one is very unique in every way—style, pattern, size, materials; and Kyle and her team gave each one their absolute best. As long as I keep collecting t-shirts I’ll keep sending them to Kyle to preserve my memories in quilts!
FacebookI found Kyle Offerman, (locally) whose business it is to make T-shirt quilts, but instead of Tshirts, I had her make 2 Memory Quilts, one for David Lautenschlager and one for Ken Lautenschlager (my husband, Wayne's 2 sons). Their father, my husband. passed away in January, 2018. The quilts were made mostly of insignias off Wayne's PGA Golf Tournament Shirts that he wore over a period of about 15 years from his annual volunteering at the Atlanta PGA Tournaments in East Lake. There were also lanyards from the PGA and other Golf related items i.e., a golf glove, and insignias incorporated in the quilts. Then the backgrounds had themes of their professions, David's being restaurant and bartending-related and Ken's being "law" related, due to him being a lawyer. David received his quilt this past Christmas and Ken got his "Christmas in July". (July 6th, when he made a trip down to Atlanta from Charlotte, NC, where his home is). I never posted the quilts on FB before, prior to now, or David with his at Christmas, due to trying to still surprise Ken with his, since he couldn't be with us at Christmas time to receive his. So, now that Ken has his Christmas Memory Quilt, it's no secret anymore! Merry Christmas!
