Beautiful place with lovely decor ! Very clean & service was excellent ! The only reason I have 4 stars is that the mashed potatoes & side of veggies could have used more seasoning/flavor. As all our appetizers & steak had amazing flavor! Big portions for the price !

We tried this place for the first time during restaurant week. It was wonderful and we will definitely be back. The Old Fashioned they make are some of the best in the city and the food was delicious.

Chef Sydney and bartender James make an incredible pair. Our first time here and they made strong impressions. The restaurant has a club vibe but the food and drinks are more than impressive. Artichoke spinach dip was so creamy and the ribeye was one of the best steaks I’ve had in my life. Extremely juicy and flavorful. Service was nothing short of incredible. Ordered a smoky old fashion and it was one of the BEST old fashions we have tried! James paid close attention to everything we desired and did not miss. He also took the time to bring out chef Sydney and she made time to hear our honest feedback. This spot is going nothing but up with this duo. They are bringing high end Miami vibes to San Antonio. 10/10 recommend.

Love the new Ace of Steaks! This used to be 1718 Steakhouse and the new owners have revamped both the venue and the menu - its amazing. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess who was nothing short of welcoming. We were seated immediately and our waitress was prompt to greet our table and get our drinks started. I loved the Texas Mule! The Texas Rose was also a hit. For appetizers we had the calamari, tenderloin tip chili and the lobster bisque. All were fantastic - the calamari was my favorite - perfectly friend and paired with a tasty dipping sauce. The menu has a great selection of entrees and sides, but of course I had to get a gold steak! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. We got a few sides for the table including the Mac and cheese (AMAZING - my favorite side, I didn’t want to share…), Brussels sprouts(super crispy and topped with a poached egg), mashed potatoes, and asparagus. All were so flavorful and the perfect addition to our steaks. Overall we had a great experience. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, our food came out quick and it tasted good. We had the pleasure of speaking with one of the owners and he gave us his vision of the restaurant as a social dining experience (something we just don’t have yet in SA) and we can’t wait to come back for the grand opening to experience everything Ace of Steaks is going to offer.

I’m glad we finally tried this place. We did the restaurant week menu so we could try some different items and everything was good. The steak seasoning was very good and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Very good cuts and large portions. The sides were good, nothing special. The salads are excellent and enough to share. I had the lobster scampi and it was good, not a lot of flavor but that’s what I get for choosing fish and pasta at a steakhouse. The service was good. The atmosphere was a lot of fun!! Not quiet and romantic but almost like a dressy nightclub vibe that you would get in LA or Miami!

Jake our server was great! The food came out in a good wait time, average but not bad. The bread and garlic butter were excellent. The Caesar dressing was very bland, no taste. The artichoke dip, I highly recommend. The ribeye was cooked as I ordered (medium rare plus) and the compound butter was very good, I do recommend. The blackened chicken was a bit over seasoned but still edible. The vegetables were made to perfection, not to soft, with a light crisp. And the best part was the cheesecake and carrot cake. I do not recommend the martini’s, very overpriced for the taste.

Ace of Steaks was an awesome experience for me, my wife and another couple! The food was thoughtful, tasteful and very well priced! Try going to other steak houses or even your local meat butcher and paying the same prices. Their menu prices were very fair! Ambiance. 10 out of 10 stars. The atmosphere and energy was awesome, and we felt like we were celebrated by the staff for our special occasion... which for us, was a date night we don't get to take often due to busy schedules. The music was great, desert was incredible, and most importantly my wife felt special. Major win for me! Its rare we get places like this in SATX without having to go to LV/LA/NYC. I hope people not only try them out, but make this the "special occasion" desination to celebrate anniversaries, graduations, birthdays and more! Go A of S! Joshua Jay Jimenez

Appetizers and desserts were good. The Mac and cheese and service was great. The steaks were decent but the charcuterie was disappointing. The board was only a few slices of meat and a few pieces of fruit.

Although we didn't order any 24kt gold, the food we had was amazing. The wait staff was also great. We ate here in celebration of our wedding anniversary, and the waiters took several photots of us and even made a us a "Happy Anniversary" sign! We enjoyed a champagne toast, and they played every one of our song requests. Awesome service, food, and atmosphere.
